.
A re-collation exercise held earlier on Thursday December 12, 2024 at the Tesano Police Training School in Accra placed the Eastern Regional NADMO Coordinator, Appiah Kodua ahead of the NDC Candidate with 11,751 votes.
The NDC Candidate, Haruna Apaw-Wiredu, also garnered 11,297 votes.
The re-collation and subsequent declaration comes days after the EC declared Apaw Wiredu the winner of the election and the Parliamentary Candidate-elect for the Fanteakwa-North Constituency.
The declaration was made despite protests by the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) Candidate over disputed pink sheets from two polling stations.
In the earlier declaration made at Begoro after the close of polls on Saturday, the Returning Officer for the elections, Zacharia Adams, declared the NDC candidate the winner, securing 11,138 votes, with Kwame Appiah Kodua polling 10,847 votes.
