Mahama pays courtesy call on leaders of Equatorial Guinea, Guinea Bissau and Gabon

President-elect John Dramani Mahama has wrapped up an incredible visit to three African leaders. 

They include President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo of Equatorial Guinea, President Umaro Mokhtar Sissoco Embaló of Guinea Bissau and President Brice Oligui Nguema of Gabon. 

The visit forms part of President-elect Mahama’s commitment to fostering strong relationships with Ghana’s geographical neighbours and friends in West Africa and on the continent.  

Mr Mahama’s discussions with the various leaders reaffirmed Ghana’s shared values and aspirations for progress across the continent.  

Their conversations touched on exploring opportunities for collaboration in trade, security, and sustainable development, ensuring that our partnerships benefit not only their nations but the people they serve.  

The incoming President reiterated his commitment to continue to work both within and outside the West African subregion towards a brighter, more prosperous future for the youth and the vulnerable.
