Transition team receives subcommittee reports ahead of power handover

The Transition Team, tasked with overseeing the handover of government operations, received reports from its various subcommittees at a meeting held on Friday, December 27, 2024.

The meeting, which took place at the Accra International Conference Centre, is part of ongoing efforts to ensure a smooth and efficient transfer of power and responsibilities across different governance sectors.

In a statement issued by the team’s spokespersons, Fatimatu Abubakar and Felix Kwakye Ofosu, it was disclosed that all the sub-committees, except the Social Sector Sub-Committee, successfully presented their reports.

The statement did not provide a reason for the Social Sector Sub-Committee’s failure to present its report.

The Transition Team is working to facilitate a seamless transfer of power between the outgoing and incoming administrations.

The reports from the various subcommittees will play a crucial role in informing the handover process and ensuring continuity in government operations.
