Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on Monday visited the Kantamanto Market which was destroyed by fire last week and supported the victims with GH¢200,000 to enable them immediately support themselves while preparing to get back into business.

The Vice President handed the money to the leadership of the traders and pledged additional support to help them rebuild the market.

Dr. Bawumia reiterated the government's commitment to supporting their recovery.

He assured that the government will supply building materials, such as cement and roofing sheets, to expedite the reconstruction process.
