Maame Ama Pratt, daughter of veteran journalist Kwesi Pratt, has been appointed as the Press Secretary in the Office of the Vice President.

The announcement was made in a statement signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, a Presidential Staffer.

As Press Secretary, Maame Ama Pratt will serve as the official spokesperson for the Vice President, providing communication support and strategic messaging for the office.

Maame Ama Pratt, who is also a television show host, is married to Kwame Owusu Danso, the running mate of Alan Kyerematen in the 2024 general elections.

Her appointment comes alongside several other key officials who have been named to bolster the Vice President’s office, including:

Alex Percival Segbefia – Chief of Staff to the Vice President
Mrs. Alberta Graham – Head of Administration
Prof. Theresah Ennin – Presidential Staffer and Aide
Ms. Daniella Mavis Mathias – Secretary to the Vice President

Additionally, several policy advisors have been appointed to support the Vice President’s agenda, reflecting the government’s commitment to effective governance and policy execution:
