Lady Vice-Chancellors congratulate Vice President-elect Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang

The Vice-Chancellors commended Professor Opoku-Agyemang for her contributions to academia and her unwavering dedication to education and women’s empowerment.
The delegation, which included Professor Lydia Aziato of the University of Health and Allied Sciences, Professor Nana Aba Appiah Amfo of the University of Ghana, and Professor Esi Awuah, the founding Vice-Chancellor of the University of Energy and Natural Resources, held discussions on advancing higher education in Ghana.
Key topics included strategies to improve funding for tertiary institutions, creating job opportunities for graduates, and enhancing the research capacity of faculty.
As a symbolic gesture of appreciation and encouragement, the Vice-Chancellors presented Professor Opoku-Agyemang with the Adinkra symbol “Nea Ope Se Obedi Hene,” which translates to “He who wants to be king must first learn to serve,” signifying service and leadership.
Professor Opoku-Agyemang expressed gratitude for the visit, reaffirming her commitment to making higher education accessible and tailored to the needs of Ghanaian society.
