Let’s be open to criticism – Edward Bawa tells NDC members

.
Edward Bawa, a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Energy Technical Team, has called on his colleagues in the party to embrace constructive criticism as a means of improving governance.

Speaking to Alfred Ocansey on TV3’s the Keypoints on Saturday, January 11, on internal party dynamics, Bawa emphasized the importance of listening to feedback.

He noted, “As a party (NDC), we should be open to criticisms, particularly constructive criticisms, and where we think people make sense, let’s take it on board and ensure we deliver on the mandate the people of Ghana have given to us.”

Bawa’s statement highlights the need for introspection within the NDC as the party seeks to meet the expectations of Ghanaians.

His remarks serve as a reminder that good governance requires adaptability and a willingness to engage with diverse perspectives.

He took a swipe at President Nana Akufo-Addo’s leadership, describing his tenure as one of the worst in Ghana’s history.

In a candid remark, Bawa stated, “If Akuffo Addo had listened to what a lot of people said, he would not have gone down as one of the worst presidents we have had.”

His comments reflect growing frustration among many Ghanaians over the state of governance under President Akufo-Addo’s administration.

Bawa’s critique adds to the ongoing discourse about the need for accountability and responsiveness from government leaders to address pressing national issues effectively.
