McDan Aviation resumes operations following ‘successful’ resolution with GACL
.
In a statement, the company reaffirmed its commitment to providing top-tier private jet services, emphasizing its dedication to serving its valued clientele. The reopening follows the successful resolution of financial issues with the Ghana Airport Company Limited (GACL).
McDan Aviation expressed gratitude to the GACL for its collaboration and support during the resolution process, which allowed the company to meet all necessary requirements to recommence operations.
The company’s private jet terminal at Kotoka International Airport (KIA) was previously shut down by the GACL on December 30, 2024, over a debt exceeding $3 million. The debt included unpaid land leases, rentals, and terminal charges accumulated over time.
This is not the first time McDan Aviation has faced operational challenges. In February 2022, the GACL indefinitely suspended the company’s private jet operations at Terminal 1 of KIA, citing operational breaches.
With operations now back on track, McDan Aviation aims to restore its position as a leader in private aviation services in Ghana.
