Nana Attobrah Quaicoe, the Director-General of the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB), has threatened to take legal action against lawyer Martin Kpebu, a member of President John Dramani Mahama’s Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) team.

According to lawyers of Nana Attobrah, Martin Kpebu falsely claimed on TV3 that Nana Attobrah had willingly returned a state land he acquired illegally to the team to avert potential hunting by the ORAL committee.

However, in a letter, lawyers acting on behalf of Nana Attobrah described the said claim as false, fabricated, and defamatory, calling for a retraction and apology.

The legal team, led by Saviour Quarcoo Kudze, further threatened to take legal action against Kpebu should he fail to retract his “utterly false and defamatory statements.”

“We urge the public to disregard these false statements calculated to injure our client’s reputation,” citinewsroom.com quoted part of the statement as saying.
