Speaking in an interview with a journalist in Parliament, the outspoken musician-turned-politician said Parliament is the only public institution he has encountered where everything works effectively.
"This is a very organized institution, and I commend those who have been here. Mostly, when you are not in and you are looking at it from the outside, it is different. One problem Ghanaians have is that they don't appreciate honesty. I want to say, look, before I came here, this was the perception I had... but honestly, this place is a very organized place; everything works."
He added: "It is a place where you can carry your coffee and still enjoy it. It is extremely neat, and I am happy. I have seen many public institutions, I have worked with Dr. Anyaa at Korle Bu, and I think this place is different."
A-plus won the Gomoa Central seat in the December 7, 2024 parliamentary election by beating the incumbent member of Parliament Naana Eyiah by 14,277 votes out of 36,026 total number of valid votes cast, leaving 11,637 for Naana Eyiah of the NPP.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, Yawson Mohammed secured 10,112 votes.
