Stop attacks by NDC supporters on state properties now – Minority tells Mahama
.
Deputy Minority Leader, Patricia Appiagyei, speaking to journalists in Parliament, condemned the reported incidents of NDC supporters forcibly taking over state properties and evicting public officials from their residences.
She described the situation as alarming and unacceptable, urging the President to act decisively.
“These attacks suggest a troubling agenda aimed at reshaping the country’s institutions through illegitimate means,” she said.
“The violence and unlawful actions we are witnessing are deeply connected to the President’s own actions or inaction.”
According to the Deputy Minority Leader, Mahama’s establishment of the “Operation Recover All Looms” (ORAL) committee even before his official swearing-in set the tone for these incidents".
She criticized the committee, claiming it has contributed to a hostile and lawless environment.
The NPP Minority is demanding an end to these alleged acts of violence and intimidation, warning that failure to address the issue could undermine the nation’s governance and the security of its institutions.
