Sean Kingston and his mother convicted of federal wire fraud
.
According to court documents, Kingston and Turner engaged in a scheme where they used fake wire transfer receipts to obtain expensive items, including high-end vehicles and jewelry, without making actual payments.
Prosecutors described them as “masters of deception and fraud,” detailing how they manipulated businesses into believing payments were forthcoming.
Following the guilty verdict, Turner was immediately taken into custody, with the judge emphasizing her criminal history and key role in orchestrating the fraud.
Kingston, however, was placed under house arrest with electronic monitoring. Reports indicate that he became emotional upon hearing the jury’s decision and pleaded with authorities to protect his mother.
Both face up to 20 years in prison for each of the five charges, including conspiracy to commit wire fraud and multiple counts of wire fraud.
Their sentencing is scheduled for July 11, 2025, where the judge will determine their fate.
