In a letter signed by the Clerk to Parliament, Ebenezer Ahumah Djietror, and addressed to the Director General of the NIB, the Speaker acknowledged the constitutional limitations and security protocols but agreed to facilitate the process.
“Parliament, in principle, agrees to the request in the above matter,” the letter stated. The MPs have been directed to appear before NIB officials for a preliminary interaction on Monday, April 7, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the Sir Emmanuel Charles Quist Conference Room in Parliament.
The Speaker further advised that the MPs should have their legal representatives present. “The Hon. Members will be requested to have their lawyers present at the interaction,” the letter emphasized.
