Blay claims that Ablakwa, the leader of Operation Recover All Loot, is determined to undermine his son’s company, going to great lengths to ensure its collapse.
Speaking on the issue in an interview with Kwadwo Sheldon, Blay defended his son, emphasizing the positive impact of his business on the community.
“There are about sixty-something clubs and bars on the beach. Why target only my son’s company? This is personalized witch-hunting, led by Okudzeto Ablakwa. He has even gone to the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) and the Ghana Tourist Board, pushing them to withdraw the business’s license.
"This business employs over 250 people, providing jobs for young Ghanaians and creating a space for entertainment for locals and the diaspora alike. It operates no differently than other clubs on the beach. So why single out this one?”
In response, Okudzeto Ablakwa has maintained that any form of state capture will not be tolerated. He has filed a private member’s bill seeking to prevent government appointees and their associates from acquiring state lands.
