.
Speaking after his swearing-in on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, Dr Forson expressed deep gratitude for the opportunity to serve and reaffirmed the collective determination of the newly appointed ministers to justify the confidence Ghanaians have placed in them.
“Mr President, we have been with you throughout your days in opposition. We have witnessed the misgoverning and misrule of the previous administration. We have learnt indeed that Ghanaians will not tolerate such misgovernance any longer,” he said.
Dr Forson acknowledged the pressing challenges facing the nation, including issues in the economy, energy, agriculture, the justice system, and education. He assured President Mahama and the people of Ghana that the team was ready to tackle these concerns head-on to restore the country’s fortunes.
“We want to assure you that we will serve in such a way as to make you the best president in the Fourth Republic. We are also aware of the state of the Ghanaian economy; energy, agriculture, the justice system, and indeed the education sector. We want to assure you that while we start work today, we will begin the process to reset the country together with you and your team,” he stated.
Dr Forson’s remarks highlighted the ministers’ commitment to serving with humility and diligence, with the shared goal of addressing critical national challenges and advancing Ghana’s development agenda under President Mahama’s leadership.
