Effutu: NDC supporters apologise for vandalising party property
.
The disgruntled members had vandalized party property during the protest, which was aimed at demanding the appointment of the Effutu parliamentary candidate, James Kofi Annan.
In their apology, the group expressed regret over their actions, acknowledging that their conduct was inappropriate.
They admitted that a more diplomatic approach should have been used to voice their concerns instead of resorting to the protest, which resulted in damage to party items.
Speaking on behalf of the group, Angela Mensah asked for forgiveness and emphasized their commitment to finding more constructive ways to address their grievances.
“We, the Concerned Branch Executives of the NDC in the Effutu constituency want to express our deep regret for our actions during our January 24 demonstration. We write to apologise for our regrettable actions.
“Our behaviour was unacceptable and we understand our actions have caused more harm than good to the party’s reputation and we acknowledge that our demands should have been channelled through peaceful means.”
