NDC Savannah Region condemns vandalism of party property; calls for prosecution
.
The letter, signed by Regional Secretary Salisu Be-Awuribe and dated January 21, 2025, detailed acts of vandalism in the township of Bole.
Allegedly, certain party supporters, upset over the non-appointment of their preferred individuals as ministers, went on a rampage, destroying NDC-branded signboards.
The Regional Executive Committee of the NDC has distanced itself from these actions, describing them as “barbaric and anti-party.”
The leadership made it clear that such behaviour is unacceptable and warned that any party member found participating in such activities would face disciplinary measures.
The party has also directed the police to investigate the matter thoroughly and prosecute all individuals responsible for the vandalism.
The letter further urged the police to pursue not just the perpetrators but also anyone remotely connected to the unlawful acts to serve as a deterrent.
“We entreat all Party Faithfuls and the people of Ghana to remain calm and to trust in the ability of the Competent President Mahama to select a team of persons he believes are better placed to help him reset the Country,” the statement read.
