According to the unsuccessful vice-presidential hopeful, he plans to return to what he was doing before entering politics.
In an interview with a journalist at
"Life continues. I was somewhere before I came in, and I will be somewhere after I leave," he told the journalist.
When asked whether he would return to the hospital to practice as a medical officer, NAPO, as he is popularly known, replied: "No."

The journalist remarked, "When the incident happened during the SONA, people commended you for your swift move in salvaging the situation, so we thought maybe you were rehearsing going back to the hospital." To this, NAPO replied: "That is a skill I have acquired, so I keep it."
The interviewer also pointed out that Dr. Opoku Prempeh is often talked about on social media, suggesting it may be because people like him. However, NAPO retorted: "If everybody likes you, then that is a problem. That is what the Bible says."
When asked if he follows people’s sentiments about him on social media, the former MP said that he is not very active online. "I leave them to enjoy the space. I cannot be everywhere," he remarked.
Dr. Opoku Prempeh added that his team briefs him on comments made about him on social media platforms.
