President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama is in the Ashanti region for the first Akwasidae festival for the year.

The President arrived in Kumasi on Saturday January 19, 2025.

The Akwasidae festival is one that showcases the rich culture of the Ashanti people.

It is expected that the president’s appointees will join him on Sunday at Manhyia during the Akwasidae festivities.

This will be his first official visit to the Ashanti region after winning the 2024 elections handsomely.
