Mahama to Hold National Christian Thanksgiving Today

President John Dramani Mahama is scheduled to host a Christian National Prayer and Thanksgiving Service today, Sunday, January 12, 2025.

The service, set to take place at 3pm, will be held at the Ohene Konadu Auditorium at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA).

This event is poised to bring together Ghanaians from all walks of life, united in faith and gratitude for the peaceful and successful conduct of the December 7, 2024 general elections.

The Christian National Prayer and Thanksgiving Service is part of President Mahama’s ongoing efforts to express appreciation to God and the people of Ghana for the smooth electoral process.



Earlier this week, a similar service was organised at the Ghana National Mosque in Accra on Friday, January 10, 2025.

The December 7, 2024 general elections saw President Mahama emerge victorious, securing a decisive win with 6,328,397 votes, which represented 56.55 percent of the valid votes cast.

His closest rival, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), garnered 4,657,304 votes, representing 41.61 percent.
