When I saw how she was speaking and her campaign, I actually suggested she vie for the position of Women’s Organizer in the NDC. She was very furious with me at the time—just after they [the CPP] had come out of their election. So, now, going forward, I would like to know if she has fully ditched the CPP and officially joined the NDC. That would help us in our discourse," Ellen Ama Daaku stated.
She added, "Right now, I am confused as to why she is even here this morning. Is she here as the former General Secretary of the CPP? Oh, so the new appointment has not started yet? We will see from next week."
The Presidential Staffer, visibly displeased with the line of questioning, clapped back at the NPP representative, saying: "It is not your business."
Meanwhile, Nana Yaa Jantuah has reaffirmed her loyalty and commitment to the CPP despite her appointment by President John Dramani Mahama.

The former General Secretary stated that she remains a member of the Convention People’s Party (CPP).
“I am representing Ghana, but I’m still a member of the CPP,” she boldly stated.
Expressing her gratitude for the appointment, Nana Yaa Jantuah praised the president’s inclusivity agenda, emphasizing that it prioritizes the expertise and hard work of individuals over political affiliations.
“This is a good sign of inclusivity and that President John Dramani Mahama does not believe in a winner-takes-all approach. If he is appointing me to such a high office, it shows the trust he has in people and in systems. He believes in the hard work of individuals and does not dwell too much on politics,” she added.
Nana Yaa Jantuah, a former Director of Public Relations and External Affairs at the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC), was among those appointed to the Office of the President on January 21, 2025.
She had endorsed the NDC during the lead-up to the recently concluded 2024 general elections.
With her extensive experience in public relations, leadership in the energy and political sectors, and a strong commitment to service, she is considered a valuable addition to the presidency.
