Member of Parliament for the Effiduase Asokore constituency in the Ashanti region, Dr. Ayew Afriyie has urged the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to focus on building their political party rather than criticizing Mahama in the early stages.

He believes that the NPP, which is in shambles after the 2024 election, needs fixing, and that should be the focus.

To him, the NPP needs to allow the government under the leadership of John Dramani Mahama to form their government and read their first budget before they start to point out their flaws.

He made this known when he spoke to Oyerepa TV in an interview.

“With all due respect, let’s be honest with ourselves. This is not the time to bash him for the wrongs he is bringing up. NPP people or communicators who are listening to me, allow him some peace of mind for a few months to fix his government and budget, which should be his plan.

Then you can start bringing up the dos and don’ts. It’s not the time to hit John, but it’s time for NPP to look at itself. If you have something to say, say it to your followers.” Dr. Afriye stated.
