NDC MPs must exercise extreme caution in private discussions with Afenyo-Markin - Anthony Acquaye

.
Anthony Acquaye, a security analyst has issued a caution to Members of Parliament (MPs) of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), urging them to tread carefully when engaging with Alexander Afenyo-Markin, particularly in private discussions.

According to Acquaye, Afenyo-Markin, who has carved a reputation as a strategic operator within Ghana's political landscape, exhibits tendencies that make him a potential threat to the interests of the NDC.

Acquaye notes that Afenyo-Markin allegedly employs private interactions as a form of political espionage.

Acquaye emphasized that Afenyo-Markin’s approach not only undermines trust but also risks sowing discord within the party ranks, weakening its position on critical national issues.

"Based on careful observation and behavioural pattern analysis, it is evident that Alexander Afenyo-Markin exhibits traits that make him a potential political threat to members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

"His approach to conversations, strategic manoeuvring, and use of private discussions as tools for political advantage indicates that he is not to be trusted in confidential engagements.

"Afenyo-Markin appears to engage in political espionage, subtly extracting information during casual or seemingly friendly interactions to be used for his evil intent.

"Information gathered from such interactions has the potential to be weaponized and used strategically to attack, neutralize, silence, or bully his colleague MPs. This tactic aligns with broader political strategies aimed at discrediting or weakening the voices of the majority caucus through calculated exposure, misrepresentation, or manipulation of private discussions," he said in a statement on January 16, 2025.
