Hooligans and vandals – Blakk Rasta blasts MPs over chaos in parliament

Blakk Rasta, who has been vocal about the ongoing controversy rocking parliament, quizzed, “Are these parliamentarians or hooligans?” he fumed on the Urban Blend show on 3News, monitored by MyNewsGh.

“Parliament has its own dress code. You cannot just show up in black and red, looking like mourners in a wrestling match, and expect everything to be normal!”

Blakk Rasta also accused the MPs of hypocrisy. “These are the same people who preach law and order! Now look at them, behaving like street protesters inside a legislative house!”

His comments come after members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) staged a bold protest against the suspension of three of their colleagues.

Clad in black and red, the MPs stormed Parliament on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, to register their displeasure.

Footage from the scene showed a standoff between the protesting MPs and security officers at the entrance of the chamber. Security officials initially denied them access, allegedly due to their red scarves.

Some of the MPs were heard protesting, saying, “We are not criminals! We have every right to enter the chamber!”

Eventually, they were allowed in after agreeing to remove the scarves, an incident that many believe was a preventive measure against potential chaos in the House.

“This is just Parliament’s security playing smart. They knew something could happen, so they put measures in place,” a source within Parliament remarked.
